Short and Oh, So Sweet

This will be a short post, but I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share how thankful I am that we serve a faithful God! When we began this journey, Rich and I stepped out in faith believing that God would provide for me to have the surgery that would hopefully make me able to live life pain free. We had very limited financial means but felt so strongly that we should continue, that we did, praying all the way for God’s continued provision. The actual cost of surgery coupled with my inability to work for almost two months gave me some serious anxiety in the beginning of this process, but in walking by faith, God met me and gave me overwhelming peace about our financial situation. I prayed for His provision daily, and was just waiting for the bill to arrive in our mailbox to see what the final verdict would be. We received several small bills for different aspects of my hospital stay, but no bill for my surgery. I was beginning to think “Well, hey! NO bill is fine by me!” when I opened the mail to find the envelope staring up at me tonight. I quickly prayed over it before I opened it, thanking God for taking care of us and allowing me to have surgery and be recovering well.  I opened the bill. It took me a minute to put two and two together – the amount that we owe is within dollars of what we raised through your generosity during my fundraiser!! We serve a loving and wonderful Father and my heart is overflowing with thankfulness and gratitude! I am so ready to see what God has in store for the rest of my life, and you had best believe I trust Him to take care of me in every way — praise the Lord!
